Vesicles - Skin Lesions Containing Fluid (liquid Blister) Prevention And Treatment

Treatment

Most of the vesicles or bubbles (the bubble is a larger vesicle) to heal itself and not require treatment. As the skin regenerates under the vesicle, the liquid content at that level will be slowly reabsorbed by the body and the skin is dry and above will peel off.

Vesicle intact skin covering provides a natural barrier against infection. So we should be trying to keep the bubbles intact to prevent infection. It is contraindicated in gallbladder with a needle stick, but we can easily tear bubble after the skin underneath has healed.

It is recommended to cover the blisters with a

plaster ( bandage adhesive). Bubbles (vesicles more) should be covered with a dressing that can be secured. If there is a vesicle or bubble situated in a region that produces pain or that could lead to its rupture (such as the planting area), it is recommended to cover it with a soft bandage to protect her. The recommended daily dressing change.

If a vesicle is broken, is not recommended removing the skin that covers the gallbladder. Gentle removal of fluid is recommended that there be at that level, then cover it and the surrounding skin with a sterile dressing and dry to prevent infection and promote wound healing.

Bloody blisters should be left to heal naturally. As with other types of vesicles, where a bloody vesicle breaks, we recommend keeping the area clean and dry and protect with a sterile dressing to prevent infection.

Bloody blisters are usually painful, so it is better to apply an ice pack to the area, immediately after the injury

. Apply ice pack for 10 to 30 minutes. Ice should not be applied to the skin, apply a towel in the first region traumatized.

Infected blisters are treated with antibiotics prescribed by your doctor. In the case of vesicle produced by an underlying disease, treatment consists of treating the underlying disease.

Prevention

You can prevent blisters from plantar level by wearing an appropriate shoe, wearing the right size socks and change socks daily.
Blisters usually develop on the skin wet, sweaty, so we recommend wearing cotton socks which absorb sweat or to change them twice a day. For people who perform physical exercises regularly, we recommend wearing socks for sport to keep feet dry and reduce the chances of blistering form.

If you go for a walk, wearing a shoe is appropriate. If during the parade, exercise or sports performed, there is a warmer area at the plantar, discontinue the activity performed and the covering area with a bandage or plaster.

To avoid blisters on the hands, wearing gloves is recommended when using a shovel or Pickaxes, or if working in the garden. Also, wear gloves when handling detergents, cleaning products, solvents and other chemicals.

It is also recommended to use sunscreen and protective clothing at times sunny day to avoid sunburn. In case of sunburn will apply moisturizing lotion after tanning or soot on to ease the discomfort caused by them.
